Intake Instructions

Contact Ramsey County Crisis Stabilization at 651-266-3551 to schedule an appointment, phones are answered Monday-Friday 8-4:30 and messages are checked on weekends.  You can fax information to 651-266-7854.

Walk-In Appointment are also available at the Urgent Care for Adult Mental Health – 402 University Ave. E, St. Paul, MN 55130:

  • Monday through Thursday: 8:15-11:30 am; Friday: 8:30 – 12:00

 

Intake Process

If a scheduled appointment, the client will meet with the med provider for 1 1/2 hours for an assessment.

If the client is a walk-in they will meet with a crisis staff for a brief assessment and then meet with the med provider for 1 1/2 hours.

When referring a client, please provide:
• Reason for needing a psychiatric visit.
• Copies of previous records
— D/c summaries, hospitals records, Crisis ER visit(s) etc.
— Recent progress notes and medication records from last psychiatric med provider if possible
• Any info on other mental health support services (ie ARMHS), health insurance status, etc.
• Client should bring all medication bottles to the appointment or MAR’s and/or medication orders if they are at a facility.

Service Description

Crisis psychiatry at Ramsey County is a short term service for Ramsey County Residents who are in crisis and do not have a provider or their appointment with their new provider is far out and they need services to bridge them to that appointment.

Rule-outs

Must be over 18 and Ramsey County Resident.
