About the Roundtable

The South Metro Round Table (SMRT) is an informal partnership that convenes stakeholders for problem solving in Scott County’s mental health and substance use crisis system.

Formed in late 2020, SMRT has participation and leadership from local government, health care, providers, law enforcement and community members.

The focus of our efforts is to improve our mental health and substance use crisis system to improve consumer outcomes and increase system effectiveness – providing the right care at the right time for residents in need.

Current work includes:

  • Improving the ability of our first responders to serve individuals in crisis
  • Improving the integration and coordination of our existing services
  • Increasing the resources available following an individual’s substance use crisis
