Ramsey County Crisis Stabilization

Intake Instructions

Referrals for Crisis Stabilization are taken by faxing the referral form to Ramsey County Crisis Stabilization Team at 651-266-7854.  Contact Ramsey County Crisis Stabilization at 651-266-3551 to talk to a member of the team, phones are answered Monday-Friday 8-4:30 and messages are checked on weekends.

Intake Process

A worker will reach out to discuss services as soon as possible, within 72 business hours of referral. Client will receive a brief assessment of need over the phone.

Service Description

Crisis Stabilization services include:  Face to face meetings, supportive counseling, further assessment of mental health status and needs, skills training, help with referrals, and collaboration with other providers and informal networks.

Rule-outs

Crisis Stabilization Services are available to a family/individual residing in Ramsey County, with an assessment completed by a crisis intervention service  and a recommendation for stabilization and at least one of the criteria below is met:
• There is the absence of other services that address the factors that led to the crisis, or the inability to access these services in a timely fashion.
• The client has not been restored to the pre-crisis level of functioning.
• Without stabilization services, there is a high likelihood of hospitalization, harm to self or other, crisis recurrence, further deterioration of the client’s functioning or further deterioration of the family system.
