Huss Center for Recovery Residential

Huss Center for Recovery provides innovative treatment programming for adult men and women with co-occurring substance use and mental illness. The programs offer a full spectrum of services including gender-specific and trauma-informed residential care, mixed-gender and women’s intensive outpatient, continuing care planning and Rule 25 assessments.

Our person-centered treatment services provide an integrated, interdisciplinary approach that links psychological, biological, and social factors to assist people in the process of recovery.

HealthEast Addiction Services – Outpatient Recovery

HealthEast offers a variety of outpatient services out of the St. Joseph’s location in St. Paul and the St. John’s location in Maplewood.

The outpatient programs are licensed Rule 31 substance use disorder treatment programs and HealthEast works with the majority of funding sources. The majority of the programs are intensive outpatient treatment which operates on 3 phases through the Recovery Maintenance aftercare program for approximately 108 hours total.

HealthEast Substance Use Assessment Services

If you feel there is a possible need for chemical dependency treatment, all insurance companies and all counties in Minnesota require the completion of a Rule 25 Assessment to determine the existence and/or level of need for treatment.

A thorough, accurate assessment is the first step in addressing substance use issues. At Fairview and HealthEast, licensed alcohol/drug counselors offer comprehensive evaluations to determine a client’s current or potential risk for substance use problems.

HealthEast Addiction Services, Inpatient Opioid Treatment

The inpatient Opioid Treatment program at St. Joseph’s Hospital combines counseling and medication-assisted therapy to treat the intense cravings related to using these substances.

Restoring Place (Women’s Residential)

Located in St. Paul, the Restoring Place is a 10-bed residential program for gender-identifying women experiencing mental health and chemical dependency concerns. The programming focuses on client wellness and weekly wellness activities that emphasize sober recreation.

Washington County Crisis Response Unit is here to assist individuals and families experiencing a crisis. The team is designed to serve as a valuable resource to law enforcement, hospitals, schools, and other community agencies.​

Washington County Crisis Response Unit provides 24/7/365 mobile crisis mental health services for adults and children experiencing a crisis. Mobile crisis interventions are face-to-face, short-term, intensive mental health services.

Minnesota Recovery Connection – Peer Recovery Support Services

We celebrate all pathways to recovery from substance use disorder. MRC connects people to recovery resources. We provide peer-to-peer services that help strengthen and sustain long-term recovery. Call 612-584-4158 between 9 a.m. – 6 p.m., Monday through Friday, to speak with a Recovery Navigator or to make an in-person appointment.

Minnesota Warmline – Mental Health Minnesota

The Minnesota Warmline provides a peer-to-peer approach to mental health recovery, support and wellness. Calls are answered by our team of professionally trained Certified Peer Specialists, who have first hand experience living with a mental health condition.

Wilder Mental and Chemical Health Services

Once a patient/client is referred they will have a brief assessment done over the telephone to determine if their needs are crisis (same day face to face response); urgent (face to face response within 24 hours); or routine (face to face response within 10 days). The face to face assessment will determine what services are needed and the individual will be assigned to a care coordinator or care coordination team

Mobile Substance Use Disorder Support Team

Refer individual in hospital or detox experiencing a SU crisis, which is defined as a critical point in the disorder where a change is desired or considered AND there are barriers to placement in SUD treatment due to issues with funding, lack of treatment openings, pre-contemplative stage of change, lack of knowledge or lack of community support to obtain treatment.

Tubman Family Alliance Crisis and Resource Line

When you call the Tubman crisis line at 612.825.0000, a trained resource advocate will ask you about your situation to find out what you need. If our shelter is full or unable to accommodate your family, we will assist you with finding other resources and numbers.

If you have private insurance contact the customer service number on the back of your insurance card to determine the next steps for accessing services through your insurance provider.

Medica Member PrePurchased Medication and Suboxone Appointments

Call 1-800-848-8327 between 8 am and 5 pm M – F with Crisis Assessment information and let the person who answers know you are calling about a pre-purchased appointment and need to speak to a care advocate.

Washington County Housing and Support Services

Caller will receive a brief phone screening for eligibility and type of service needed. Will be referred to appropriate and available resources, including assessment for Coordinated Entry.

Washington County Chemical Health Services

Washington County screens and authorizes Rule 25 Chemical Health Assessments and oversees funding for individuals who qualify for the Consolidated Chemical Dependency Treatment Fund (CCDTF), including those underinsured.  At this time we are not yet conducting Comprehensive Assessments.

Higher Ground Saint Paul Shelter – Catholic Charities

Shelter services are 5pm-9:30am.  Bunks for sleeping.  Lockers, showers and hygiene are available during shelter times.

If you are experiencing a crisis or other emergency situation and you have schizophrenia, bipolar disorder, major depression, or another psychiatric illness, you might need a place to go.  Provided in a quiet, residential setting. Private and semi-private bedrooms are available.  Accessible.  Staff is available 24 hours a day.  Focused on helping you restore stability, solve problems, and figure out what’s next.
